Asthma NZ are going Electric

Asthma NZ are going Electric

Asthma New Zealand are delighted to be one of the 29 projects to be co-funded in the latest round of EECA Low Emissions Vehicles fund.

Asthma NZ are serious about helping New Zealand Breathe Easy.  For the last 20 years New Zealand has had the second highest rate of mortality for 5 – 35 year olds in the developed world.  We cannot allow this to continue.

Asthma NZ will transition all our Mobile Nurse Educators into electric vehicles by the end of the year and will look to convert their mobile education unit to electric with the support of funders next year.  We are committed to reducing asthma and COPD hospitalisation by 50% by 2029.
